Privacy Policy for Warmly
Effective date: September 5, 2026
Warmly is designed around a simple principle: the information you keep about the people you love belongs to you, and only you.
What Warmly stores
Warmly lets you save information about people you care about — names, birthdays, photos, gift ideas, notes, memories, and reminders. All of this data is stored:
• On your device, and
• In your personal iCloud account (via Apple’s CloudKit), so it can sync privately across your own devices.
Warmly has no servers of its own. Your data is never sent to us, and we cannot see, access, or recover it. iCloud sync is handled entirely by Apple and is protected by your Apple Account; Apple’s own privacy policy applies to iCloud (https://www.apple.com/legal/privacy/).
What Warmly does not do
• No accounts. You never sign up or log in to Warmly.
• No data collection. We do not collect, transmit, sell, or share any personal data.
• No analytics or tracking. Warmly contains no analytics SDKs, advertising, or third-party trackers.
• No contact access. Warmly does not read your device’s contacts. Every person in the app is added by you.
Photos
If you choose to add a photo for a person, you select it using Apple’s system photo picker. Warmly only receives the specific photo you pick — it never has access to your photo library. Photos are stored on your device and in your iCloud, like the rest of your data.
Notifications
If you enable birthday reminders, Warmly schedules notifications locally on your device. The app also uses silent push notifications solely to keep your data in sync across your devices via iCloud. Notification content never leaves your device.
Tips (in-app purchases)
Warmly offers an optional tip jar. Purchases are processed entirely by Apple through the App Store. Warmly never sees your payment details, and tips are not linked to any personal information within the app.
Exporting and deleting your data
You can export your data at any time from within the app. To delete your data, delete the people you’ve added, or delete the app and remove Warmly’s data from iCloud (Settings → your name → iCloud → Manage Account Storage). Because we hold no copy of your data, deletion is fully in your control.
Children’s privacy
Warmly does not collect personal data from anyone, including children.
Changes to this policy
If Warmly’s privacy practices ever change, this policy will be updated and the effective date revised. Material changes will be noted in the app’s release notes.
